Would you rather have clients or customers?
dictionary.com: Customer - A person who purchases goods or services from another…
dictionary.com: Client - A person or group that uses the professional advice or services
of a lawyer, accountant, advertising agency, architect, etc.”
Dictionary.com definitions
were shortened to make a point: You shouldn’t want customers anymore after reading these definitions.
You want clients. Your focus shouldn’t be on people who buy from you once because you simply have the “merchandise
or services” they need right now. You want to develop and nuture an ongoing relationship with people who use
your professional advice and expertise — who buy from you because of how you help them,
not what you hand them.
Thinking this is splitting hairs; that it’s semantics. It’s
really a mindset for success. Cultivate relationships so that you become indispensable for what you know (that
you can transfer), how you help, and how you make people feel about the interaction. When you do that, you’re
building a client base, not a customer list.

DOMAIN NAMES
DOMAIN NAMES: I own a .net domain name & the last couple of weeks a domain broker company was trying
to sell me the .com version for a min of $97.00, but I didn't need it that bad & figured it would just expire. It did
expire & I just bought for $12.00. POINT: Be careful when companies try to pressure you into
buying a domain name. You can always do a WHO IS search thru one of the main domain sellers & find out expiration etc.

Promoting Your Website Offline
An ongoing question... "How do I get more legitimate website traffic" I say "legitimate" because
there are firms that all day long will take your money and send you traffic, but it's not relevant to what you are selling
or promoting. I've always used this analogy. If you owned a Barber Shop and I told you I would send you 10 people per day,
you might think that is great. However at the end of the week I ask you if you are happy with your results and your reply
is "Everyday 10 new people would come through my door, but nine were bald, so I am not so happy. My reply, "I
promised you 10 people walking through your door everyday and I have delivered!" Folks, it's not quantity,
it's quality! I can add free Ipod in your website code and get you lot's of traffic, but are they interested in your product
or service? Click image to the left to request your FREE documents.
Next post we will discuss online traffic solutions.

The Marketing Power of Words
Last year Marie & I went to St. Augustine, FL and went shopping on St. George St. We went into a Kitchen Store (Marie
couldn't walk past one if she tried) to look around. Before we left Marie found this plastic hard scraper that they were promoting
to use in the Kitchen to scrape dishes, counter tops, stove etc.
The lady working said "If you buy the
scraper and use it, you will thank me every time you use it"
Well it's been about a year since the purchase
and I think of her comments and the store every time I pick up the scraper to use it. Talk about marketing!
A couple
weeks ago we went to St. George St. and can you guess what one of the shops we went into was? Oh yea, the "Kitchen Store"! What can you say about a product you are selling to keep the thought in your client's mind? If it were a piece
of jewelry, your comment may be... "Everytime you see your wife wearing this necklace you will say to yourself "I'm
so glad that... helped me pick out such a special gift for my wife at..."
I would eleborate more but... I've
got some pans to scrape!

Is your website SUFFERING from W.D.M.D.S.?
W.D.M.D.S. = "Website Developement & Marketing Dissociation Syndrome" Your
website developer has learned the development of websites but has had little or NO training in marketing,
so the website is developed with little or no marketing focus! In most cases websites are developed to market product(s) and
or service(s). If the visitor doesn't have a good experience, then they quickly move on! For example, 86%
or more people go to the internet when in the market for a home and when they get to a website they want to search properties!
WHY do website developers make the site so cumbersome it's hard to find the property search feature. WHY
do they make it a challenge to find a way to contact the Agent? BECAUSE: They don't understand the marketing
and what the end user is expecting! More to come...
